About Me
I am currently twenty-five years old, and have finally come to terms with the dramatic 'Oh no, I'm aging!' thing.
My college hours have been spent mainly on Psychology, with just enough mental energy left over for a minor in photography.
Currently I am living in Fort Worth, Texas, finishing any left-over Psychology courses and what have you.
As far as breeding goes, I dab into a variety of things, though none of which has captured my heart like breeding rats has of course.
Here is a small list of my other breeding hobbies:
:. Geckos, namely Rhacodactylus ciliatus, R. auriculatus, and R. chahoua. I keep a few Uroplatus on the side, but have no plans to breed those just yet.
:. Ball pythons, though I am just now starting. As far as morphs, I have pastels, spider, mojave, and pied. My first goal is obviously the pastels + spider,
so wish me luck! Oh- and since I get questioned about this a lot, NO, I do not under any circumstances feed rats to any of my snakes.
They are all fed fat, adult mice humanely. Though I get tired of people assuming the worse, I welcome any questions you might have on that.
I like to think of myself as a generally nice and friendly person. I can get a bit shy when talking to someone new on the phone,
but other than that I tend to be quite social if I know the person. I am pretty random or odd (or so I've been told numerous times), but
don't let that bother you! It just means I'm being myself, after all.
Other Pets
Some call it 'the zoo', including myself. I don't like to think of it as being quite that bad, but it suits the household more or less.
(Believe it or not, I'm actually looking for a pair of Degus currently. Crazy, I know!)
.: Cat :.
:. Skye; Female Tortie-Shell Calico American Short-Hair. She is quite withdrawn from the world outside of her
'comfort zone', and the rats generally fall under that catagory. She'll run from them nine times out of ten. The only ones she seems to
tolerate are the dwarfs, which she will calmly watch from the bed as if it were her own form of television. She does not have the
usual predatorial personality that most felines have, and would rather pretend every other animal in the house simply does not exist than
acknowledge there presence, let alone contimplate 'hunting' them. In other words, she would fall under the generalization of 'rat friendly',
seeing as she'd never attempt to hurt or mess with them at all.
.: Guinea Pigs :.
:. Peter R. Tuffington; Male Calico. He was the first cavi I have ever had, and is quite special.
:. Shaka; Male Chocolate. Professional snugglebug!
:. Salad; Male Dilute Tortie. I call him that because that's what he looks like, but I don't know what a breeder would call him.
Personality wise, he's quite insane!
:. Sassy; Female Platinum Blazed. She is Peter's daughter, and quite the high-spirited girl!
:. Paper; Female Beige. The daughter of Sassy and Salad, she is the 'chill hunny' of the group.
:. Potato Chip; Female Beige. Also a daughter of Sassy and Salad, she serves as the resident nut-case amongst the girls!
.: Green Tree Python :.
:. Voldeejay; Male Aru-type from Bob Clark. I had wanted a GTP since was five at least, but waited until I was absolutely sure
I could handle one. So finally, one year at a local expo I picked him out of a group of five from Bob Clark. I chose him for his personality above
all else, but he also is a shining example of the Aru type, having quite the abundance of blue all over. And yes, he also is fed fat, adult mice only.
His name is wonderful, is it not? (Of course I have a tiny discoball hanging above his enclosure!)
.: Tarantulas :.
:. Tiptoes; Female Avicularia avicularia. She was my very first tarantula, and I adore her ever so much.
:. Mistletoes; Female Avicularia bicegoi. Being a mature female, acquiring her was a miracle. She is by far my most treasured T!
:. Twinkletoes; Female Avicularia metallica. Another marvel to have found, a mature female! She is quite lovely and sweet.
:. Un-named; Unsexed Avicularia bicegoi. I generally don't like getting them unsexed, but it's not easy finding bicegois!
:. Un-named; Unsexed Avicularia avicularia. Acquired from a friend. It's quite friendly now, and getting big enough to sex soon!
.: Bearded Dragons :.
:. Baylith; Female (adult). She has tons of lavender and orange, and is quite spoiled! I love my fatfats, after all.
:. Lynard; Male Dwarf. I brought him home on a whim from '08 NARBC. The colors of dwarfs are INSANE!
.: Leopard Gecko :.
:. Hit-man; Male (adult). This guy would be 'the odd man out', so to speak. He actually belongs to a friend, but while they were
moving from their apartment, I offered to take care of him. As you can guess, I have grown rather attached to the guy, so maybe he'll stay here for a while!
